MSOE Honors Students Collaborate with MTE to Create Sustainable Forestry Video Game
Honors students at MSOE have partnered with Menominee Tribal Enterprises and the Oneida Nation to create a video game teaching players about sustainable forestry. In the game, "The Giving Forest," players tend to their forest responsibly, managing sick trees, natural disasters and severe weather conditions.
The students collaborated with forest managers in our sawmill to learn about sustainable practices for the game, which will be shared with Indigenous people, foresters and school children at an international level. Read the full MSOE article and watch the video of the students presenting their work at the 2024 Arbor Day Peace Tree Planting Ceremony at the Children's Museum of Green Bay.
