Sustainable Forest Management:

Menominee Tribal Enterprises (MTE) has been committed to the practices and principles of integrated sustainable forest management and manufacturing sustainable forest products for nearly 150 years. Menominee forest resource use and management on the Menominee Forest stands as a unequivocal example of sustainable forestry - "forestry that is ecologically viable, economically feasible, and socially desirable".  This refers not only to forest products and social benefits, but also to wildlife habitat, site productivity, and other ecosystem functions.  The management goal of the Menominee Tribe is to maximize the quality and quantity of saw timber grown under sustained-yield management principles, while maintaining the diversity of native species.
