MENOMINEE TRIBAL ENTERPRISES (MTE)
BOARD OF DIRECTORS

According to the Management Plan of Menominee Enterprises, April 22, 1975, Section 5.a., “..the board of directors shall be responsible for establishing overall policies and objectives for the management of the affairs and assets of the tribal enterprises, and for periodically reviewing and evaluating management results.”

The MTE Board of Directors consists of twelve members who are elected annually by adult members of the Menominee Indian Tribe. Menominee tribal members 25 years or older are eligible to run for a seat on the Board.

The Board of Directors is vested with the authority under Section 5.k of the Management Plan of Menominee Enterprises, to designate one or more committees, and a chairman for each committee. The Board of Directors currently has four standing committees, 1) Mills Committee, 2) Forestry Committee, 3) Personnel Committee, 4) Executive Committee.

The Board of Directors meets on a monthly basis to receive financial and management information for the sawmill and forestry operations.
